Police Recover Stolen Nissan Frontier Pickup within Five Minutes of Activation

  • February 3, 2012

After the owner of a Nissan Frontier King Cab pickup truck reported their vehicle stolen to the Chula Vista Police Department, the car’s information was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed on the car.

After the investigating officer arrived on the scene and began interviewing the victim, his beat partner called him to advise that he picked up the signal on the LoJack Police Tracking Computer installed in the patrol car.  Just five minutes after the activation, the Frontier pickup truck was recovered abandoned.

The owner was happy that his Nissan Frontier was equipped with LoJack and that his vehicle was recovered so quickly. To add to his happiness, he was driven to the location where the undamaged vehicle was recovered and he was able to drive it home.
