Lesson of the Day: Don’t Leave Your Car Running Unattended! (PIC)

On a very cold December morning, the owner of a 2004 Lexus ES330 was preparing to take visitors out for a ride when after briefly leaving the vehicle unattended, an opportunistic car thief drove off with it

The auto theft report was made with the Aurora, CO. Police Department and the LoJack transponder concealed within the Lexus was activated.

A short while later, officers with the Denver Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the stolen Lexus. The officers tracked the vehicle to a parking lot in Cherry Creek area of Denver near 1st and Adams.  The vehicle was parked and unattended.  The owners arrived at  the recovery location to claim the vehicle.
