The LoJack® System Helps Sacramento, California Police Recover Stolen Honda Civic EX in Six Minutes!

Nothing takes the glow off a good time like preparing to go home when it’s all over and finding your vehicle missing. A wedding attendee in Sacramento, California had this experience on May 12th, 2013, when he exited the occasion to find that his Honda Civic EX was gone.
The Civic’s owner immediately contacted Sacramento Police to report the theft. The officer entered the Honda’s VIN (vehicle information number) into the California Stolen Vehicle System as well as the national system. This routine police action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Auto West Honda in Roseville, CA.
A very short while later, Sacramento PD officers began to receive the homing signal emitting from the Honda on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the abandoned car parked near the intersection of 15th and K Streets. The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its relieved owner, who once again had a reason to celebrate.
