LoJack® System Helps Clayton County Police Department Recover Stolen 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

The owners of a 1987 Chevrolet Monte Carlo thought he would never see his prize winning car again!
He contacted the Clayton County Police Department to report that it had been taken from his home and after the police verified the theft, the vehicle was entered into the state and federal crime computers which automatically activated the LoJack® System concealed in the Monte Carlo.
A short while later officers from the Clayton County PD picked up the silent LoJack signal from the stolen Chevy with the LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTC) that are installed in patrol vehicles and the police helicopter. While on air patrol the air unit began to track a LoJack signal coming from the Monte Carlo and with the help of a Clayton County PD unit on the ground was able to track the Monte Carlo to a home where it was located in a driveway.
The officer made an arrest after the owner of the home could not explain how the Monte Carlo was there.
The LoJack® System was installed in the Chevrolet Monte Carlo in May 2002 at Spectrum Sound in Atlanta, Georgia.
