LoJack Partners with the Crown Group to Aid Law Enforcement in Redding, California

FBI theft statistics for 2015 show that California remains the #1 state for auto theft – in fact, eight of the top ten hot spots for vehicle theft in 2015 were in the Golden State, according to the National Insurance Crime Bureau. At the same time, auto theft nationwide has increased by three percent according to data from the FBI.
To help local law enforcement agencies in their efforts to recover stolen property, the Crown Dealership Group based in Redding, CA presented LoJack Police Tracking Computers (PTCs) to the Redding Police Department and Shasta County Sheriff’s Department at an event held last Friday at Crown Ford. Steve Roberts, GM of the Crown Motor Group, representatives from LoJack, Chief Rod Paoletti and Captain Roger Moore of the Redding Police Department, and Under Sheriff Eric Magrini of the Shasta County Sheriff’s Department gathered for the donation to discuss the changing landscape of auto theft and how technology can aid law enforcement in recovering stolen vehicles.
“The Redding Police Department and Shasta County Sheriff’s Department are dedicated to keeping our community safe and ensuring that all stolen assets are recovered. We can help by providing the best tools on the market to stay ahead of the thieves,” said Roberts. “It is an honor to work closely with both them, and our friends at LoJack, to help recover assets that have been stolen. This relationship underlines a common effort to assure members of the community that in the event a theft occurs, we are doing everything in our power to help recover their assets so that life can go back to normal.”
